Overview
LM-RX295 is a truly flexible Server Storage Platform. Coupled with any of a number of industry 3.0Gb SAS RAID controllers, enterprise-class Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or high-capacity Serial ATA (SATA) drives and software solutions, it can be used as an application server, storage-hungry server, disk-based backup and recovery appliance, network attached storage (NAS), IP SAN (iSCSI) or Fibre SAN via add-in Fibre HBA.
LM-RX295 i equipped with Dual Xeon Processor sockets, but can be scaled to two quad-core processors with 12MB of L2 cache. Eight memory slots make room for up to 32GB of RAM and dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers deliver tremendous speed within the network environment. The chassis midplane features a built-in SAS expander, supporting SAS and SATA hard drives along with hot-pluggable connectivity and a single miniSAS cable bridging 4-port internal SAS RAID controller and the enclosure's 12 SAS/SATA drives. The hardware SAS RAID controller card provides different RAID Levels (0,1,5,10,50 / 6 & 60) for SMBs to achieve optimal performance, flexibility and reliability.
