Success Stories

Leadman has worked sucessfully with many clients to produce hardware solutions that are tailored to exacting requirements and specifications. Our hardware expertise allows us to help our clients save time, money and headache in developing the hardware they need.

APPLIANCE: IB2000

Hardware design:

Based on the customer's PRD, Leadman designed the system with hot swap hard drive carriers, redundant power supply and redundant hot swap system fans. The system thermal control meets industry standards and it is FCC approved, UL, CSA, TUV, CCC, CE and VDE certified.

Flexibility:
Leadman adhered to the customer's preference for selecting on-the-shelf components as the majority of system components. The system's components and hardware were all selected or designed to fit the customer's s

Consistency:
Leadman strove to find current components with active 3-5 year life cycles for product consistency.

Time to market:
Leadman took only 3 months to develop the system from the ground up to mass production. During the 3 month period, Leadman provided design drawings, two time first articles, thermal validation, FCC and safety certification and finally mass production and drop shipment to end users. Our customer was extremely happy with Leadman's delivery of a high-quality product in a reduced timeline.

Appliance: MU4000

Hardware design:
Leadman's customer was a start-up company in June of 2005. There was no hardware engineer in employment at the customer's site at the time Leadman was hired to develop this network appliance, so Leadman handled all aspects of hardware design. Based on the customer's specifications, Leadman designed the entire network appliance for the customer with FCC approval and multiple safety certifications.

Flexibility:
In the past 2.5 years of working on this project, Leadman has made many design modifications to the appliance based on the customer's requirements. All modifications have improved the appliance according to the customer's needs, and Leadman will continue working with the customer to update and refresh the appliance whenever the customer deems it necessary.

Consistency:
Leadman committed to support this appliance and source its components for a minimum of 3 years until the customer decides to refresh the product.

Time to Market:
The customer requested urgent product release, so Leadman spent only 15 weeks for design and development to help our customer launch the product to market in the shortest time possible.

APPLIANCE: SA700

Hardware design:

The SA700 is a major project appliance that Leadman designed for a high-grossing customer. It is customized with a small 1U aluminum chassis, a light-weight, low-cost network appliance with high volume sales.

Consistency:
The SA700 was equipped with mostly embedded list components, to ensure a long life cycle. The project started in August of 2005 and is still going strong. Leadman uses its wide resources to pull in parts that may be hard to find to ensure the product's consistency.

APPLIANCE: IB1550

Hardware design:

IB1550's chassis was already designed when the customer brought this product to Leadman, but the design was not ideal. Leadman helped the customer improve the design and acheive a much higher yield rate. Leadman's improvemens drastically reduced the cost of production and the cosmetic improvements resulted in more interest in the product and increased sales.

APPLIANCE: NEOCAST

Hardware design:
Leadman custom-designed the smallest fanless system to date with a wall mount feature for this customer as a hardware solution for digital signage purposes. In the past two years, the cuustomer has sold thousands of these systems through many global retailers. The tiny size makes this product very appealing to end users.
